My Summer StoryOver the summer my family and I were self-quarantined from the end of March up until the summer. However, on August 16th we decided to take a small road trip up to Julian for some Julian pie. I never thought there would be so much physics in walking and eating however, in class we explored the physics behind our summer highlights.
I learned about different terms such as light absorption, motion, friction, solar energy, and how they applied to my summer. Last year, in Biology I learned about plants and how they reproduce but this year I got to go a little more in-depth about trees. I explored light absorption which is how plants appear a certain color. For example, trees appear green because it's leaves have small particles called chlorophyll which absorb sunlight and reflect green light. |
